The Northern Rock is an independent finance company and is one of the largest in UK for deposit mobilization, mortgages and insurance providing. It is also UK’s 5ht largest mortgage lending company and the largest financial institution in the north-east of England. The website is very pleasing to the eye and the home page consists of mainly the rates, products and the company information at the bottom. The top however, seems a little incomplete due to a blank banner space and has other navigation links under it.

The savings page has all option available with northern Rock on the left pane with current offers in the middle of the page. With savings reinvestment being the main theme of the page, the page also advertises loyalty bonuses for r-investing. The left pane is very useful and the links lead you to focused information pages.

The mortgages page also lists a lot of options on the left pane along with some boxes on the right that carry some useful tools. Easily understandable and navigable, this page is right on the mark for anyone trying to opt for a mortgage on their homes.

The investments page is clubbed along with the savings page and as mentioned above, it is a store house of information for individual investors. The top of the page is again a little incomplete with a missing banner but has all relevant links and information needed. This page seems to be the most visited.

The loans page flows beautifully with the rest of the site. This page is rich in information and also features the APR on the right. With a lot of information that is reachable by the links on the left, the loans page of Northern Rock is very helpful for regular customers as well as new comers.

With a rare and aesthetic color theme, The Northern Tock’s website is a very good example of beauty and information showcased in the right proportions.
